Neither of my parents are musicians but both of my older brothers are. as a kid i looked up to them a lot. my big brother plays drums and my big big brother plays bass guitar. i have a lot of cool memories jamming with them, learning from them, and never being the one who choose what we watched on tv lmao  Your best collaboration / the best artist who you worked with? Hmm to date would have to be captain sad aka yesterday. he and i have a couple songs together and more to come, but honestly his song ‘like melo, baby’ is easily the most professional and all around bad ass song anyone has made with my production so far. shoutout cpt sad ? Next question,do you use FL studio? Yeah it’s just the first daw i learned to use and it works well so i’ve stuck with it  Is there an artist you want to work with that you have not yet had the opportunity to work with? Yes, there’s tons. to name a few: moonlet, guccihighwaters, lil lotus & steady suffer. i’d also really like to co-produce a track with jay vee. oh & i cant leave out fats’e because he’s my favorite artist currently.  What do you like to do for fun outside of working on music? Well i used to smoke a lot of weed and stare at my computer screen // listen to music but i’ve recently quit all drugs and alcohol so this is a tricky question. i’m pretty anti-social & keep to myself so i enjoy things like reading, hiking through the woods, and going out to eat at ridiculously expensive & nice restaurants.  What genre of music do you prefer to listen to? The first bands i listened to when i was like 9 // 10 years old were nirvana, metallica, green day, limpbizkit, stuff like that. from there i got into rap. i remember sitting in my bed with my boom box listening to this master p cd i had over and over. but once i discovered the red hot chili peppers i fell in love. when i was 16 and had my first car i had their stadium arcadium cd in my car stereo for like a year straight and didn’t listen to anything else. these days i listen to soundcloud mostly. lots of fatse, nothing, nowhere, oliver francis, and other underground artists. I mostly listen to my ‘likes’ on soundcloud so if you’re reading this and want to see what i’m listening to right now just go check that out on my soundcloud profile.  Tell us about your Youtube channel My youtube channel is pretty cool. it’s where i post free beats for people to download and use if they want. it’s way cool.  What is the must-have equipment for music producer? The cool thing about producing music in 2020 is all u really need is a laptop. but i would say something that will set you apart from the rest of the producers is incorporating some type of or many different real instruments. you can really tell the difference between a producer who just clicks notes into a piano roll & one who truly plays instruments. but if ur a laptop producer that’s cool too.  What do you think ? What genre of music will be popular in 5 years? Haha in five years? idk but i think the whole emo sad genre is cool and everything but at the same time i feel like it’s counter intuitive for culture // society. same with drug use and glorification of drugs like xanax in today’s popular music. if we keep focusing on how sad we are, it will only perpetuate the problem rather than help solve it. i get it. everybody gets emotional at times in their life but i think it’s important to allow room for some happiness too.
